We connect those who are struggling with mental health issues to resources they can easily use in their community.
Helping fight stigma find mental health services create compassion
We connect with students and seniors on a community level. We offer in person programming for youth and the elderly to combat stigma and try to make every British Columbian feels supported or becomes a supporter of mental health. We offer two programs; Mental Health Matters and Companion + Care through our volunteer network. Companion + Care is our response to the high level of depression and isolation that the elderly face and we use the Mental Health Commission of Canada recommendations to provide recreational programs for seniors that open up opportunities for self-expression, relationships, and emotional support. Our Mental Health Matters program is an extension of the recommendations from the Mental Health Strategy for Youth ; which is to provide contact based education through lived experiences.
